Emad Ismat Ghandourah

 Assistant Professor

Profile

Emad Ghandourah obtained his M.Sc. in 2003 in radiation detection from the Nuclear Engineering department at King Abdul-Aziz University. In 2015 he received his PhD from the University College London (UCL), Mechanical Engineering department, and his thesis examined areas of stress concentration around welded structures in large plates using ultrasonic waves. Emad has been working on different non-destructive testing methods since 2001, and he is level III certified in three nondestructive testing methods. In 2004 Emad was granted a scholarship sponsored by Fulbright visiting scholar program to work with Dr. T. Jevremovic in Purdue University, USA. In 2015 Dr. Ghandourah joined the Nuclear Engineering department at King Abdul-Aziz University as Assistant Professor, and he is teaching the nondestructive testing courses of the conventional NDT methods, radiography, ultrasonic and eddy current. Dr. Ghandourah’s main research interests are non-destructive testing, material science and signal processing.
